Moment

The House of Hope, Casa de Esperança, is in a very poor neighbourhood of Recife, in Brazil. It started in 1998 as a pre-school nursery. It has grown and developed and reaches many children and their families with the love of Christ. Because of the ministry, the local Anglican church is growing. The Anglican Relief Development Fund US collaborates with the House of Hope and there is a building project going on building new classrooms to help meet the demand. The facilities are closed because of Covid-19 but the building project is nearly complete. The staff are very busy providing online teaching, visiting, and distributing food, love and care.

Prayer

‘For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.’ (Ephesians 2:10) Pray for the staff to have stamina and joy in doing good. Pray for the children and families in very difficult circumstances, to know God’s love.
