Moment

On November 28, in Borno State, North East Nigeria, there was a terrible massacre: 110 people who were working in the fields were murdered by Islamists, probably Boko Haram; others are wounded and missing; passengers from 11 buses have been abducted.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, draw near to those who call out to you for your help: comfort the grief stricken and give courage to the fearful. Please give leaders within Nigeria and without a determination to make the region secure and to protect the weak. Strengthen Bishop Emmanuel Morris, the clergy, and all your people in Maiduguri Diocese, that they may live as children of light. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
