Redeemer Anglican Parish is part of the Greenhouse Movement, which began 13 years ago when college students requested that their vicar started a church at their campus.  

Redeemer Anglican is one such church; it is led by Rev. Keith Hartsell, who has oversight of nine congregations.  The Greenhouse Movement mobilizes lay people to start up their own churches in their local communities, it is an approach that the Rev. Hartsell endorses, “I encourage Christians to take a stand for the truth of the gospel and embrace the importance of the gospel in the life of the church. The seed of the gospel has no life in it if it cannot multiply.” 

There are now more than 50 churches connected to the Greenhouse Movement, in nursing homes, and college campuses, but there are more to come.  Their aim is to build partnership on six continents to work together in church planting and mission and they are working hard to achieve it. They have planted several churches in Latin America and South America. African-American churches have been planted in universities to start congregations and their partnership with All Saints Cathedral, in Nairobi, has opened doors of doing reciprocal mission together and they are key players in the Global Mission Partnership network.
