New Primate-elect for the Church of Nigeria
Rising from its Episcopal synod held on 24th September 2019 at the Cathedral Church of St Peter’s Asaba, The Most Rev’d Henry Chukwudum Ndukuba has been elected as the new Primate of the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion.
According to the Dean of the Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion, The Most Rev. Buba Lamido who made the official announcement on ACNN TV, the current Primate, the Most Rev. Nicholas D. Okoh has served for almost 10 years and by the 25th of March, 2020, he would have completed his ten years tenure as the Primate.
He explained that the advisory committee conveyed to discuss the qualifications of the new Primate to be elected and sent in their advice to the Episcopal Synod; after which the Episcopal Synod sat down, under God and elected a new Primate.

Abp Henry Ndukuba is a rural rugged evangelist who from his priesthood till date has suffered much for the Gospel in northern Nigeria. He has had his house burnt, gun shot survivor and hostility for his faith yet he remains undaunted in his love for people, serving communities and building schools, clinics wherever he served. A dedicated missionary, Bible teacher, humble preacher of the Word is Primate elect for Nigeria. Pray with us for him.
