Anglican Ecclesiology: Summary of its History and Current Assessment
During the FCA Leaders Conference in London in 2012, the Rev Canon Dr Ashley Null gave two lectures on Anglican ecclesiology. In this lecture, Dr Null identifies six phases of Anglicanism, charting the journey from its reformation in the Sixteenth Century as a Reformed Church in England to its current state in the early Twenty-first Century as a global communion. He then provides an assessment of the possible future direction of the Anglican Communion, arguing that with mission at its core, there is a future for a fellowship of national churches, confessing a common faith and exercising ecclesiastical discipline.
